Hello there! I am a full stack software developer based in Helsinki. I have been writing code for seven years now, three of which professionally. I am currently working as a consultant and finishing my master's degree.
I enjoy working on various long-term projects in collaboration with other people. My strongest skills include problem solving and teamwork. As a software engineer, I embrace continuous learning.
My professional and academic interests include software engineering, cyber security, privacy, cryptography and human-computer interaction.
Career
Software Developer
Currently employed as a consultant at Taito United, building full stack web applications for various clients.
In addition to collaborative software engineering, I have represented the company at several career events.
Software Developer
Participated in a new research to business project AgentFormers as a software developer.
As a founding engineer, my duties included selecting the most suitable technologies for the project, designing the overall software architecture and database schemas, setting up the initial web server and client, configuring and deploying the application, building a CI/CD pipeline and automating deployments. I also implemented an authentication system with university account single sign-on.
Due to my brief stay, I also prepared to hand over the code base by writing extensive technical documentation and briefing new team members.
Software Developer
Worked as a software developer in the Toska software development team, developing an application called Oodikone for analysing university data.
My main contributions to Oodikone include a complete overhaul of the user interface and improving the overall UI/UX. I also made significant improvements to the application's code base by improving maintainability and participating in the effort to introduce TypeScript to the project.
By leading retrospectives and regular team meetings, I had a significant role in improving the team's processes and ways of working.
Education
Master of Science in Computer Science
Currently pursuing my master's degree in computer science in the Software study track. Writing my master's thesis on the topic of software maintainability metrics and static analysis.
Aiming to graduate in the spring of 2026.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Completed my bachelor's degree in computer science. Other studies in mathematics, statistics, geoinformatics and history. I wrote my bachelor's thesis on the topic of breaking cryptographic hashes.
During my studies I acted as a teaching assistant on four occasions, twice for the course "Software development methods" and twice for "Software engineering".
